This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones ePlan Systems, S.R.L. (“ePlan”) uses on https://eplan.do, what for, for how long and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy policy. In short: we only use the first-party cookies the site needs in order to work; we do not use advertising, social media or third-party analytics cookies.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It lets the site recognise you from one page to the next or from one visit to the next: for example, to keep you signed in or to remember your language.
Besides cookies there are similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), tracking pixels and device identifiers. In this policy we call all of them “cookies” when they serve the same purpose.
2. Types of cookies
By who sets them
- First-party cookies: set by the site you are visiting (https://eplan.do).
- Third-party cookies: set by a different domain, usually an advertising, analytics or social media provider. ePlan sets no third-party cookies.
By how long they last
- Session cookies: deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies: kept for a set period or until you delete them.
By what they are for
- Strictly necessary: without them the site, or a feature you asked for, cannot be provided (for example, signing in). They do not require consent.
- Preference: they remember choices you made, such as language.
- Analytics or measurement: they measure how the site is used. ePlan does not use them.
- Advertising or tracking: they build a profile in order to show you ads. ePlan does not use them.
3. Cookies this site uses
| Cookie | What it is for | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| ep_s | Keeps you signed in so you can buy and view your tickets. Its content is encrypted and cannot be read by the browser or by any script (HttpOnly); it is only sent over a secure connection. | First-party · necessary | Up to 30 days, or until you sign out |
| ep_u | Holds your first name so the menu can show “My tickets” instead of “Sign in”. It gives no access to your account. | First-party · necessary | Same as the session; removed when you sign out |
| ep_locale | Remembers whether you prefer the site in Spanish or English. | First-party · preference | 1 year |
In addition, for the length of your visit the browser keeps (in sessionStorage) two flags that hold no personal data and disappear when you close the tab: whether you closed the app notice, and whether the menu was open when you switched language.
These are all the cookies the site sets. If we add one in the future we will update this table before we start using it and, if it is not strictly necessary, ask for your consent first.
4. What we do not use
- We do not use advertising, remarketing or social media cookies or pixels.
- We do not use third-party analytics tools that identify you or follow you across sites.
- We do not sell or share with advertisers any information obtained through cookies.
- We do not use the browser's local storage to identify you.
- The site's fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not tell third parties about your visit.
That is why you will not see a banner asking you to accept or reject cookies: the only ones we use are exempt from consent because they are necessary to provide the service you request or to remember a preference you chose.
5. Third-party links and services
Some pages link to external sites: for example, “See on the map” opens Google Maps, and the download buttons lead to the App Store or Google Play. Those sites have their own cookies and policies, which ePlan does not control. They apply only if you choose to open the link.
When you pay by card, the details travel encrypted to our server and from there to the payment processor. The processor may apply its own fraud-prevention measures.
6. Legal basis
We use the necessary cookies because they are essential to provide the service you ask for (signing in, buying, viewing your tickets). We use the language cookie on the basis of our legitimate interest in showing you the site in the language you chose. Personal data associated with your session is processed under the Privacy policy and Law No. 172-13 on the protection of personal data.
7. How to control cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
- Safari (Mac): Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data. On iPhone and iPad: Settings › Safari › Advanced › Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage and delete cookies.
You can also sign out under “My tickets”, which removes the ep_s and ep_u cookies immediately.
What happens if you block them: without ep_s you will not be able to sign in, buy or view your tickets on this site (you still can in the app). Without ep_locale the site will choose the language from your browser on every visit. The rest of the site, including the events listing, works without cookies.
8. “Do Not Track” signals
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal. Because this site does no cross-site tracking or advertising, it behaves the same whether the signal is on or off.
9. The mobile app
The ePlan app does not use cookies. It keeps your session in the phone's secure store (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android) and your preferences in the app's own storage. It uses an installation identifier to protect your session and, if you turn them on, a notification token. Details are in the Privacy policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the cookies we use or the rules change. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date.
